Entebbe
Welcome to Uganda! On arrival at Entebbe Airport, your driver-guide will meet and transfer you to Lake Victoria Serena Resort & Spa, overlooking the beautiful Lake Victoria. Settle in, take a dip in the pool, work out in the gym or just enjoy your day at leisure.
Bwindi
After breakfast at Lake Victoria Serena Resort, take a private vehicle transfer back to Entebbe International Airport and board your flight to Kihihi Airstrip. Your lodge representative will meet you on arrival and drive you to Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge, perfectly positioned on the forest edge. After lunch at the lodge, take the afternoon to prepare for your gorilla trek the next day. Dinner is at Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge.
Bwindi
After an early breakfast at Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge and briefing, set off with your guides and porters into the equatorial rain forest, searching for your designated mountain-gorilla family. Trek along the slopes of the Virunga Mountain range, ascending slowly through dense bamboo and foliage, for up to several hours, while your guides locate the habituated gorillas. Your porter will carry camera equipment, additional clothing and bottled water. Once you’ve found them, you’ll spend quality time with your gorilla family, watching them feed and socialise, before trekking back to your starting point. Lunch and dinner are at Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge.
Depart
After breakfast at Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge, transfer by lodge vehicle to Kihihi Airstrip for your light-aircraft flight to Entebbe, from where you’ll continue with your onward travel arrangements.

Destinations on this trip
Uganda, an East African country known as ‘the pearl of Africa’, offers the warmest of welcomes and an incredible diversity of wildlife experiences. Uganda safaris can include savannah and mountain moments, excursions into cloud forests and discovering the source of the Nile. It’s this variety of habitats that explains Uganda’s remarkable biodiversity.
Despite its name, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is not quite as inaccessible as might be imagined. Indeed, given that the forest contains around half of all the world’s remaining mountain gorilla, Bwindi safaris are actually perfect for travellers wanting to experience one of Africa’s most moving and engaging species up close and personal.
